"Sweet Abundance"

$150.00

The Jemez Mountains in Northern New Mexico are the western cousins of the Sangre de Cristos, formed by volcanic activity and containing a myriad of treasures: hot springs, wildflower thickets, canyons and cliff-dwellings. In the words of Willa Cather, “Elsewhere the sky is the roof of the world; but here the earth was the floor of the sky.” The colors in this original, alcohol ink painting reflect the turquoise sky and sun-baked rocks of the Jemez range. This piece is matted to 11 x 14 and framed in blonde wood.
